2016, for many, including myself, was filled with a lot of uneasiness, sadness, and loss. From dirty politics to a tragedy that occurred close to home and one that shook our community and will continue to. I don't want to deny these truths, but as we get into the new year and face 2017, I want to remain positive and hopeful. So for this year in review, I'm looking back at the many wonderful things that happened in 2016.
In February of 2016, I opened up my studio in Uptown Oakland! This first photo below was the catalyst for having that dream realized. The studio, which we named Six & Ten Studio, has also become a great space for other creatives to shoot their projects as well as a safe space to meet at and build community. And in 2017, I hope to be able to create more creative & personal work within the walls as well as having the space continue to be part of the bay area community to gather, play & work together.
I will actually be running a studio portraits marathon, if you are interested - come check it out. The possibilities are endless. And as they should be, as we step into the new year.
